Everything you need to know before placing your first order

AKFA is a UK business, with our client services team working UK hours. Manufacturing takes place at our own overseas factory, so there is no middleman between you and production. You get the communication and reliability of dealing with a UK company, with direct factory pricing.

Our MOQ starts from just 30 pieces per style. This makes us ideal for startups testing a new design, small brands launching a first collection, or established businesses adding a new product line without committing to large volumes upfront.

Sample costs depend on the complexity of the design, fabric and any branding involved. We discuss sample pricing with you during the quote process. Typical sample lead time is 2–3 weeks from design approval. Every bulk order includes a sample approval stage before production begins.

Standard bulk production lead time is 4–6 weeks after sample approval. Allowing for sampling and approval, a first order typically takes 8–10 weeks from first enquiry to delivery. Lead times may vary depending on order size, design complexity and current production schedule. We always confirm your timeline before you commit to an order.

Yes. The price we quote you is the price you pay — there is no separate shipping charge added at the end. We ship worldwide.

No. While a tech pack speeds up the process, we can work from reference images, sketches or even a verbal description. Our team will help you develop the design into a production-ready spec as part of the process.

Yes. We offer design support as part of our service. Whether you have a finished design or just an idea, we work with you to get it production-ready — including fabric selection, fit, construction details and branding placement.

We offer full cut-and-sew manufacturing so every garment is made to your spec. Customisation options include fabric choice, GSM, colourways, embroidery, screen printing, sublimation, private label woven labels, hang tags and packaging.

Yes. We manufacture hi-vis workwear and PPE to EN ISO 20471 Class 2 and Class 3 standards. Our workwear is UKCA-ready, meaning it can be certified for the UK market. We advise on certification requirements during the quote stage.
